The Appetizer Dilemma

I wish restaurants just stop calling them appetizers. No?

The “Entry Level” salad

Except it is pretty much upgraded, even when u get the “small” portion.

My favorite is Greek because it is messy and I can play with it. Still, I prefer to have 1/2 of it and take the rest home  if I’m ordering smth else.

The “Cup” of Soup

The cup is too little, the bowl is too big…. or the other way around. Point is, they are pretty rich. Sometimes I like these soups more than the meal so why not get the big one.

The “Side”

I ordered this side of black and white pudding (savory🇬🇧 British favorite) . I don’t regret JACK but the serving itself could have done me well with a little green on the side.

The Pick-At-Its

These are those shareable little cute canapés that you either get too much or too little of. Unfair.

The “Cut in Fours.”

These really aggravate me. One item, cut in four pieces, charged for four pieces, and too big to eat as an app and too small to share willingly.

The So-Called Flatbread

Whatever. It is still a pizza.

The Crab Cake Issue

Same thing: too big as an app, perhaps perfect to share…hey, maybe this could be it! I usually have it as the main.

So, there u see how apps are really entrees that cost more and have less food. I’d say watch and see whether it is worth your intake. Or else, enjoy either way. Heck, I sure have!
